In Pakistan the traditional hyper masculinity is the norm. Boys from an early age are told that “real men” are aggressive, strong and never vulnerable. But by placing so many limitations on gender, we end up creating insecurity which often begets violence. In recent years more work has been done towards connecting traditional masculinity and gender based violence. It is believed that for us to truly eradicate gender inequality and violence against women, we need to have greater men engagement. The interactive play looks into this connection by putting forward a link between traditional masculinity and the violence that often comes with it.
