0Cyber means relating to the culture of computers, information technology, and virtual reality. It can also be used as a prefix to describe terms like cyber-crime, cyber-culture, cyberbullying, etc.
Cyber includes the service of the internet which interconnects people from different places. The usage of internet has increased over the years. This has led to the development of an online culture which is termed as cyber-culture.
However, many times people have faced threats or have witnessed disturbing content on social media platforms. For example, the incident of Christ Church, New Zealand, left many viewers in shock after the video of the shooting got viral.
These acts occur because there are no laws restricting or defining the scope of the information available online and the kind of dangers that are present on the online world which should be punishable.
Governments have taken notice of cyber-crimes and most of them have been successful in implementing laws on their citizens.
The government of Pakistan also acknowledged this issue and passed the Cyber Crime Bill in 2016.
