About Us

Maati TV is Pakistan’s first web-based interactive video platform creating advocacy and awareness to encourage civic action on climate justice, equal citizenship, cultural diversity, and peacebuilding themes. It is a product of Interactive Resource Centre (IRC), an info media organisation that uses art-based development tools to create self-empowerment opportunities for youth and marginalised communities. 

Maati employs various digital and on-ground storytelling tools to create safe spaces for critical discourse among the Pakistani youth. The digital platform offers podcasts, educational videos, interactive theatre, citizen journalism, community events, capacity-building workshops, and awareness campaigns. Our core team includes filmmakers, storytellers, artists, and a larger network of student and community filmmakers we have built over the years. 

Maati TV’s sister organisation, Surt Communications, is a production house with state-of-the-art equipment and production facilities in Lahore.
